IT Support Specialist Weekend Tier I, Edge Communications
Overview
Own end user IT support at scale for Edge’s commercial customers during weekend shifts. Lead incident triage and resolution for desktops, printers, and shared resources across Windows environments. Collaborate with internal teams on escalations and knowledge base improvements. Distinguishing factor: exposure to hospitality-related vendor platforms and on site enterprise IT operations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and resolve desktop and printer issues for customer environments during weekend shifts
- 2Design and implement OS and software updates and patch management to minimize downtime
- 3Lead first level incident identification and escalation using approved IT processes
- 4Ship accurate documentation of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system and route to appropriate teams
- 5Own user account management and Active Directory changes
- 6Drive follow up with clients to confirm complete issue resolution
- 7Design knowledge base articles and checklists for repeat issues
- 8Assist in learning industry specific and proprietary management systems
- 9Coordinate occasional shift changes and holiday coverage as required
- 10Support network administration tasks and shared resource access across Windows environments
Requirements10
- 1Knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems, 0365, Active Directory, and Exchange
- 2Strong customer service and problem solving skills with prompt courteous responses
- 3Willingness to work weekends and holidays, and extend hours as needed
- 4Ability to remotely assist users with desktop, printer, and other connected device troubleshooting
- 5Experience documenting work in a ticketing system and tracking incidents to resolution
- 6Familiarity with patch management and software updates on Windows systems
- 7Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work with internal teams
- 8Onsite support experience in a corporate environment is a plus
- 9Ability to adapt to shift changes based on coverage requirements
