Overview

Own and deliver remote desktop support for client IT systems at scale, handling urgent service desk requests and troubleshooting via phone and remote login. You will work independently across diverse end-user environments and collaborate with Level 2 engineers when needed. The role emphasizes customer-focused problem solving and clear communication over technical explanations, with opportunities to perform maintenance, installations, and deliveries. You will support a range of devices and networks and participate in ongoing training and certifications to stay current.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and troubleshoot user desktops and compute environments to resolution
  • 2Maintain, document, and update service orders with accurate activity logs
  • 3Utilize PSA, RMM, and other service tools to deliver remote and onsite support
  • 4Escalate complex issues to Level 2 support and coordinate timely resolution
  • 5Perform preventative maintenance activities and assist in installations and deliveries
  • 6Maintain professional customer relationships to uphold the company reputation
  • 7Participate in ongoing training and attainment of manufacturer and software certifications
  • 8Respond to urgent client needs with clear, actionable solutions
  • 9Support varying Windows desktop OS and office software suites
  • 10Travel as required to client locations when necessary

Requirements5

  • 12+ years in a Support Technician IT role
  • 2Associates degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science IT or related field
  • 3Proficiency in modern Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Suites
  • 4Basic Windows Server understanding and ability to configure network devices such as switches and routers
  • 5Experience with security software including antivirus antispyware and anti-spam tools
