IT Helpdesk Technician, IT Support & MSP Coordination
Overview
Own end-user IT support across multiple entities providing front line troubleshooting and incident response. Collaborate with internal staff and an MSP to improve service delivery and alignment with business goals. You will engage in onsite and remote support, manage incidents, and help implement IT policies and training in a mid-sized construction and real estate services environment. This role offers exposure to a broad set of systems, networking basics, and vendor coordination within a multi-office organization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain user support for Microsoft core business applications and other deployed solutions, resolving issues and documenting outcomes
- 2Design and implement coordination with MSP to improve service delivery and user satisfaction
- 3Troubleshoot Sage and TimberScan, diagnose networking or error-based issues, and route out-of-scope problems to the appropriate department
- 4Coordinate incident communications with employees, providing timely progress updates and change notifications
- 5Share knowledge and document internal IT processes, procedures, and best practices
- 6Escalate complex issues to MSP when internal resources are insufficient
- 7Manage and report IT budget allocations and track expenses
- 8Develop and deliver IT training programs and workshops for staff
- 9Create, run, and distribute operation system reports to senior staff
- 10Maintain security and network fundamentals including WAN, LAN, routers, and firewalls
Requirements10
- 1Proven ability to work with a team and communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and end users
- 2Experience coordinating with an MSP for service delivery improvements
- 3Experience troubleshooting business systems including Sage and TimberScan
- 4Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and multi-task across tickets and projects
- 5Knowledge of IT service management concepts and support tools
- 6Comfort with documenting processes and creating training materials
- 7Familiarity with basic network concepts such as WAN/LAN, routers, and firewalls
- 8Ability to enter time and expenses according to payroll procedures
- 9Professional IT certifications preferred
- 10Strong interpersonal and customer-care skills
