Inventory Control Manager, Defense Startup
Overview
Own inventory accuracy for a defense startup scaling autonomous gun turrets. With 3-5 years in warehouse management, you will implement structure and enhance the ERP system. Reporting to leadership, you will lead a team of inventory specialists. This role demands high organizational skills and a hands-on approach to cycle counting and data analysis.
What You'll Do10
- 1Maintain inventory accuracy across all stock, ensuring real-time data integrity in the ERP.
- 2Manage cycle counting schedules and execute physical counts to reconcile discrepancies.
- 3Control inventory levels for Min/Max, VMI, and exception reporting to prevent stockouts.
- 4Implement slotting processes to optimize warehouse space and picking efficiency.
- 5Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- 6Monitor demand data to forecast future inventory and warehouse needs.
- 7Create reports and maintain critical KPI dashboards for inventory performance.
- 8Resolve transfer, adjustment, RMA, and traceability issues with the inventory team.
- 9Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for all inventory discrepancies.
- 10Support audits by providing accurate records and process documentation.
Requirements9
- 13-5 years in warehouse management or supervisory role in distribution center.
- 2Proven experience designing cycle-counting schedules and resolving data discrepancies.
- 3Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
- 4Proficiency with ERP and WMS software to analyze stock flow and generate reports.
- 5Leadership skills to train, supervise, and mentor inventory staff.
- 6Solid understanding of inventory management practices and logistics operations.
- 7Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- 8Experience with Oddo ERP is a plus.
- 9Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand or walk 75% of shift.
