Interior Designer Meteor Education
Overview
Design furniture layouts and create visual presentations to support high impact learning environments for K-12 clients. Guide the studio team through project programming and specification reviews while adhering to the Meteor Core Process. Foster relationships with sales and educational specialists to elevate product knowledge and drive successful client outcomes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Attend project programming meetings to determine scope and collaborate with sales and educational specialists
- 2Develop conceptual design solutions reflecting client intake information
- 3Create visual presentations including 2D drawings and 3D renderings using Meteor software
- 4Specify furniture finishes and custom items across multiple manufacturers
- 5Work within budget and timeline constraints while recommending product solutions
- 6Perform specification reviews and develop installation documents with the studio team
- 7Maintain excellent communication skills when presenting to customers and team members
- 8Research K-12 and higher education environment design to enhance product knowledge
- 9Adhere to ADA Life Safety Fire and Electrical codes
- 10Attend in-person studio activities and travel to client meetings and training sessions
- 11Build strong relationships with studio team members and participate in functional training
Requirements11
- 13-5 years experience in interior design preferred in education sector
- 2Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Interior Design
- 3Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit or CET and Microsoft Office suite
- 4Experience with AutoCAD Revit CET and Microsoft Suite
- 5Some experience collaborating with architects and trades professionals
- 6Experience presenting to educational and architectural clients
- 7Exceptional ethical and professional standards
- 8Full cultural alignment with company values
- 9Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 10Understanding of design principles
- 11Ability to live in geographic area of Oakland San Ramon Fremont San Jose CA or surrounding areas
Salary Insight
$75 - $85k per year
