What You'll Do9
- 1Design and deliver integrated technology lessons for middle school students, embedding Microsoft Office Suite and digital literacy skills.
- 2Align curriculum with Pennsylvania Academic Standards, ensuring students meet state benchmarks for technology proficiency.
- 3Guide students in collaborative projects using Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams to foster teamwork and problem-solving.
- 4Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a middle school setting.
- 5Integrate emerging technologies into classroom activities, including coding platforms and 3D printing resources.
- 6Collaborate with fellow teachers to cross-curricular technology applications in business and computer science.
- 7Manage classroom technology infrastructure, troubleshooting issues with Chromebooks and interactive whiteboards.
- 8Communicate student progress to parents and guardians through PowerSchool and parent-teacher conferences.
- 9Participate in professional development to stay current with educational technology trends and PA certification requirements.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's Degree in education, technology, or related field.
- 2PA Technology Education PK-12 certification or Business, Computer and Information Technology PK-12 certification.
- 33+ years teaching experience in middle school or secondary education preferred.
- 4Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 5Knowledge of Pennsylvania Academic Standards for technology education.
- 6Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas or Schoology.
- 7Strong classroom management and instructional delivery skills.
- 8Ability to integrate digital citizenship concepts into daily lessons.
- 9Valid Pennsylvania State Police Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance as per Act 168.
