You will own the end-to-end processing of insurance applications from submission to policy placement, managing a caseload of life insurance files with accuracy and speed. You will review applications, gather underwriting requirements, and coordinate with brokers and carriers to keep cases moving. You will work within a tenured team at a growing organization, using Excel and an Agency Management System (AMS) to track progress and maintain compliance. This role offers stability, early Fridays, and a clear path for career growth in insurance operations.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Review new insurance applications for accuracy and completeness, flagging missing fields within 24 hours of receipt.
  • 2Manage cases from submission through policy placement, updating the Agency Management System (AMS) at each milestone.
  • 3Gather and organize underwriting requirements, including medical and financial documentation, from applicants and third parties.
  • 4Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and keep applications on track.
  • 5Monitor case status daily and follow up on outstanding requirements via phone and email within 48 hours.
  • 6Maintain accurate records and documentation in the AMS, ensuring files are audit-ready and compliant.
  • 7Assist with quotes, application packets, and carrier portal submissions, expediting policy issuance.
  • 8Deliver a responsive experience to brokers and partners, answering inquiries and providing status updates proactively.

Requirements8

  • 13+ years in life insurance processing, mortgage processing, loan processing, underwriting support, or financial services operations.
  • 2Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • 3Experience with carrier portals or policy administration systems preferred.
  • 4Familiarity with underwriting processes and insurance documentation.
  • 5Strong ability to identify missing documentation and resolve processing issues quickly.
  • 6Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • 8Ability to work onsite in Airmont, NY, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Fridays end at 3:00 PM, paid for full day).
