Information Security Analyst I, Cybersecurity & Threat Monitoring
Overview
Security pathways at scale within a premium retail environment. Own threat monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response for a large VZW ecosystem. Report to teammates in Raleigh with a hybrid location in Durham and cross-functional collaboration across IT, risk, and store operations. This role emphasizes hands-on defense, policy implementation, and security awareness education to reduce risk across the organization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and monitor threat detection routines to identify suspicious activity and breaches in network and systems
- 2Design and implement vulnerability assessments with Qualys or similar tooling to prioritize remediation
- 3Participate in incident response investigations following established procedures and contribute to incident reports
- 4Assist in the implementation of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices
- 5Support SIEM monitoring to reduce false positives and improve alert quality
- 6Deliver security awareness training for employees, including phishing, vishing, and smishing campaigns
- 7Manage Privileged Identity Management with just-in-time access controls and privileged account hygiene
- 8Secure systems and applications by installing and updating security software and controls
- 9Collaborate across teams to maintain continuous monitoring and reliable security operations
- 10Contribute to ongoing security hardening and system configuration improvements
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in information security or related field
- 2Minimum one year of experience in vulnerabilities identification and prioritization
- 3Experience with Qualys or similar vulnerability management and patch management tools
- 4Experience with SIEM platforms and incident response processes
- 5Understanding of network security concepts, system hardening, and security controls
- 6Experience in phishing, vishing, and smishing campaign management and security awareness training
- 7At least one year of experience with Privileged Identity Management and just-in-time access
- 8Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- 9Willingness to work in a 24/7 security operations environment
- 10Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, GIAC or CISSP
