Cyber Security Analyst, Retail & E-Commerce
Overview
You will own security monitoring and incident response for retail and e-commerce platforms, protecting payment systems and customer data. As a Cyber Security Analyst with 2-3 years experience, you will report to the Security Operations Lead and collaborate with DevOps and Compliance teams. You will detect threats, remediate vulnerabilities, and support PCI-DSS compliance. This contract role stands out by offering direct impact on fraud prevention and real-time threat mitigation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor SIEM alerts for suspicious activity across retail applications and e-commerce platforms.
- 2Investigate and respond to security incidents, containing threats and restoring services.
- 3Conduct vulnerability scans with Qualys or Nessus and prioritize remediation.
- 4Analyze network traffic and system logs to identify anomalies in AWS or Azure environments.
- 5Support PCI-DSS compliance by documenting controls and performing gap assessments.
- 6Collaborate with DevOps to patch critical vulnerabilities in Linux and Windows servers.
- 7Develop and update playbooks for incident response and threat hunting.
- 8Report security metrics and incidents to management on a weekly basis.
Requirements7
- 12-3 years in cybersecurity, focusing on retail or e-commerce security.
- 2Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or IBM QRadar.
- 3Knowledge of PCI-DSS and other regulatory frameworks.
- 4Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services.
- 5Experience with vulnerability management tools like Nessus or Qualys.
- 6Strong understanding of network protocols and OWASP Top 10.
- 7Relevant certification such as Security+ or CEH is a plus.
