Infant Teacher, Early Childhood Education
Overview
You will own the infant classroom at Seeds of Grace Christian Child Development Center, serving up to 8 infants with a co-teacher. You will design and lead daily lesson plans that spark curiosity and problem-solving in each child. You will partner with parents and staff to create a safe, nurturing space for growth. This role offers a 4-year degree path or CDA with 1+ years of hands-on experience. You will bring a growth mindset to a close-knit team in Chicago.
What You'll Do10
- 1Design and deliver daily lesson plans that target physical, intellectual, and social growth in infants.
- 2Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
- 3Adapt activities to each child's individual learning style and developmental stage.
- 4Document child progress and communicate with families on milestones and daily routines.
- 5Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets state licensing standards.
- 6Collaborate with co-teachers and director to align curriculum with early learning standards.
- 7Model positive interactions and discipline strategies that support social-emotional health.
- 8Assist with diapering, feeding, and naptime routines, following health and safety protocols.
- 9Participate in parent-teacher conferences and center events to build community.
- 10Track attendance, incident reports, and child observations using center tools.
Requirements9
- 14-year degree in early childhood or related field with 1+ years experience in an infant or preschool setting.
- 2Associates degree in early childhood with CDA and 1+ years experience will be considered.
- 3Excellent written and verbal communication skills with families and team members.
- 4Passion for teaching young children and developing age-appropriate activities.
- 5Knowledge of early learning standards, curriculum, and child development.
- 6Dependable, responsible, and punctual work ethic.
- 7Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stoop, kneel, and sit on the floor.
- 8Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- 9Pass a background check and health screening as required by state.

$37 - $42k per year
