Own the daily care and early development of infants (0-18 months) at Brilliant Butterflies Academy, a growing early childhood education center in Dallas, Texas. You will create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment, following Texas Minimum Standards for child care. What You'll Do7
- 1Design and maintain a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom that supports infants (0-18 months) in their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- 2Execute daily routines including feeding, diapering, tummy time, and naps, adapting to each infant's individual needs and signals.
- 3Keep the classroom clean and sanitary, aligning with Texas Minimum Standards for health and safety.
- 4Document each infant's daily activities, feedings, and diaper changes accurately, ensuring clear communication with parents and team members.
- 5Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents and colleagues, sharing observations of each child's progress and any concerns.
- 6Practice gentle guidance and responsive caregiving, building secure attachments and fostering trust in every interaction.
- 7Follow all center policies and health procedures, including proper handwashing, sanitizing, and emergency protocols, to maintain a hygienic environment.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of experience in infant care or a related early childhood setting.
- 2Ability to lift and carry infants up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.
- 3Current certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- 4High school diploma or equivalent; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- 5Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards for child care centers.
- 6Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with parents and team members.
- 7Must pass a background check and complete required training (e.g., Safe Sleep, Shaken Baby Syndrome).
- 8Flexibility to work part-time hours, including morning or afternoon shifts, with reliable transportation to the Dallas location.
