What You'll Do14
- 1Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the facility
- 2Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, machinery, and facility systems
- 3Complete carpentry painting drywall ceiling tile flooring and general handyman repairs
- 4Perform basic plumbing repairs replacing fixtures fixing leaks unclogging drains and maintaining restrooms
- 5Perform basic electrical work replacing outlets switches lighting fixtures ballasts and bulbs
- 6Inspect maintain and repair HVAC systems coordinating outside service providers when necessary
- 7Assemble install move and repair shelving furniture office equipment and warehouse fixtures
- 8Maintain dock equipment doors locks gates handrails and other facility infrastructure
- 9Conduct routine inspections identifying maintenance needs and safety concerns
- 10Respond promptly to maintenance requests prioritizing repairs based on operational needs
- 11Assist with office moves equipment installations facility improvements and special projects
- 12Keep maintenance areas tools and equipment organized
- 13Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs following safety procedures and OSHA standards
- 14Track completed maintenance activities and work orders
Requirements12
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with trade school or technical certification preferred
- 23+ years experience in general maintenance building maintenance handyman services or industrial maintenance
- 3Working knowledge of mechanical electrical plumbing carpentry and general building repair techniques
- 4Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- 5Ability to safely operate hand tools power tools ladders lifts and maintenance equipment
- 6Capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- 7Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- 8Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and work orders
- 9Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work including bending climbing kneeling and standing for extended periods
- 10Preferred welding fabrication or machine repair experience
- 11Forklift or scissor lift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- 12Experience with preventive maintenance programs and facility equipment
Salary Insight
$52 - $67k per year
