Overview
You will evaluate industrial equipment and facility systems across the U.S., focusing on electrical safety and arc flash data. You will own the assessment process from field inspection to final report, working with Bureau Veritas clients. You will collaborate with a team of assessors and project managers, traveling 75% of the time. This role stands out for its hands-on field work and emphasis on QEW compliance.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform onsite assessments of industrial equipment, MHE, electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
- 2Collect electrical data and arc flash information, applying NFPA 70E safe work practices.
- 3Evaluate equipment up to 480V, identifying deficiencies and risks.
- 4Assess material handling systems against drawings, specs, and industry standards.
- 5Review CMMS records, work orders, and maintenance history to gauge operational health.
- 6Interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.
- 7Interview facility staff and contractors to validate findings.
- 8Document observations with photos and detailed technical reports.
- 9Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and project teams.
Requirements10
- 1QEW experience with strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety.
- 2Experience working around energized equipment and following arc flash PPE procedures.
- 3Experience with electrical systems up to 480V.
- 4Experience with LOTO involving multiple energy sources.
- 55+ years in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, controls, or related field.
- 6High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
- 7Experience with material handling equipment preferred.
- 8CMMS experience for asset management and work orders preferred.
- 9Journeyman electrical or mechanical credentials preferred.
- 10Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
