What You'll Do8
- 1Manage importation of goods by air securing customs release and delivery to final destination
- 2Break down consolidated freight shipments into house airway bills while maintaining accurate shipment data and AMS details
- 3Communicate with airlines customs agents and trucking companies to guarantee timely delivery
- 4Track shipments and provide customer updates as needed
- 5Prepare and submit customs brokerage documentation including commercial invoices bills of lading and other paperwork
- 6Maintain customer relationships and deliver excellent service
- 7Handle accounting tasks for break bulk department including invoice preparation rate amendments fee transfers and claim processing
- 8Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Requirements6
- 1Prior experience in freight forwarding logistics or related field
- 2Imports experience preferred
