Implementation Project Manager, Healthcare Benefits
Overview
You own end-to-end implementation for small market customers (501-1000 employees), delivering benefits rollouts on time. You manage project plans, drive milestone execution, and resolve risks before they stall progress. Reporting to a program director, you collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams. This remote contract role spans 4+ months, focusing on precision and accountability.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead implementation of benefits for small market segment customers (501-1000 employees), owning the full project lifecycle.
- 2Build and manage detailed project plans, setting clear milestones and deadlines for each deliverable.
- 3Anticipate risks and obstacles, implementing mitigation strategies to keep implementations on track.
- 4Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of each phase.
- 5Track progress against timelines, adjusting plans as needed to meet commitments.
- 6Drive weekly status meetings, documenting decisions and action items for all parties.
- 7Validate deliverables against requirements, ensuring quality and compliance with client expectations.
- 8Facilitate go-live activities, managing cutover steps and post-implementation support handoff.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in project management, preferably in healthcare benefits or insurance implementation.
- 2Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
- 3Strong proficiency with Project Management tools like Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
- 4Excellent communication skills, able to lead cross-functional teams remotely.
- 5Demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
- 6Experience with small market group benefits (501-1000 employees) preferred.
- 7PMP certification is a plus.
