Overview
HVAC Warranty Technician owns the diagnosis and repair of residential HVAC systems at Service Champions, serving the San Francisco Bay Area. This role acts as the final authority on warranty claims, performing advanced diagnostics on TXV valves, Honeywell zone systems, and variable speed motors. You work directly with clients to ensure their systems run worry-free, backed by a team recognized as a Bay Area Top Workplace every year since 2016. What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair HVAC home comfort systems, focusing on warranty claims and complex issues
- 2Lead and coordinate installation projects, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction
- 3Clean the project area in the client's home after each job completion to maintain a professional image
- 4Keep a clean and organized vehicle, stocked with tools and equipment for every call
- 5Communicate with clients before, during, and after projects, handling paperwork and payment collection when needed
- 6Enforce jobsite safety by wearing proper PPE and following all safety processes, including the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan
- 7Run all assigned calls, including those in other Service Center territories, to support the team
- 8Attend all required meetings and training sessions to stay current on codes and procedures
Requirements10
- 15+ years of HVAC experience with advanced diagnostic and repair skills
- 2EPA 608 Core and Type II certification required
- 3Proven ability to braze and replace evaporator coils and compressors in fully charged systems
- 4Troubleshoot TXV valves, Honeywell zone systems, static pressure systems, and variable speed motors
- 5Familiarity with electrical systems, including communicating zone systems
- 6Up-to-date knowledge of all code requirements for the territories serviced
- 7Advanced knowledge of company equipment, water heaters, and Pure Flow processes
- 8Ability to work independently and in a team, with reliable and punctual attendance
- 9Maintain company driving privileges and a clean driving record at all times
- 10Fluent in English, with strong communication skills
