What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair gas furnaces, hydronic boilers, AC, and water heaters, including tankless, to code.
- 2Explain repair and replacement options to homeowners without pressure, building trust.
- 3Complete 2-3 service calls per day, documenting findings and work performed.
- 4Start each day from home in your assigned truck with gas card, heading to your first call.
- 5Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow a repeatable in-home process.
- 6Handle on-call rotation roughly once a quarter, with no Sundays.
- 7Manage your own inventory and parts ordering to keep your truck ready.
- 8Provide detailed estimates and collect payment after service.
Requirements8
- 13+ years residential HVAC service experience running your own calls.
- 2EPA 608 certification and HVAC trade school completion.
- 3Valid driver's license with clean, insurable record.
- 4Independent troubleshooting skills on gas furnaces and hydronic boilers.
- 5Professional communication with homeowners and a repair-first mindset.
- 6Comfort with on-call rotation and weekend work as scheduled.
- 7NJ license preferred, but not required.
- 8Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight spaces.
