Overview
You own the start-up, service, and repair of complex commercial HVAC systems across Columbus, Ohio. You will diagnose and fix issues on rooftop units, water source heat pumps, and packaged systems from manufacturers like Aaon and Samsung. You work independently, mentor junior techs, and deliver reliable results for a growing service team. This role offers $35-55/hour based on experience, plus benefits.
What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units and water source heat pumps.
- 2Perform start-up procedures on new equipment from manufacturers like Aaon, Smart Chiller, and Samsung.
- 3Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues to restore system performance.
- 4Document service findings and maintain accurate records for preventive maintenance and repairs.
- 5Mentor entry-level technicians in field procedures and safety protocols.
- 6Coordinate with dispatchers and customers to prioritize service calls and meet deadlines.
- 7Ensure compliance with OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety standards on every job site.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of field experience in commercial heating and air conditioning.
- 2Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including water source heat pumps and rooftop packaged units.
- 3Hands-on start-up experience for complex HVAC equipment.
- 4Proven track record of mentoring others in the field.
- 5Valid EPA Universal certification.
- 6Own hand tools and a clean driving record.
- 7OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- 8Master HVAC-R license is a plus.
- 9Manufacturing certifications like Aaon, Smart Chiller, or Samsung are preferred.
- 10Strong communication and organizational skills.
