What You'll Do10

  • 1Install HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps, in residential homes.
  • 2Brazing, piping, ductwork, and electrical connections for complete system setup.
  • 3Start up systems, verify operation, and explain controls to homeowners.
  • 4Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure all parts and materials arrive on site.
  • 5Troubleshoot installation issues on the spot and adjust as needed.
  • 6Follow manufacturer specifications and local codes for safe and compliant installs.
  • 7Document work with company-issued iPad and communicate with dispatch.
  • 8Keep truck inventory organized and report parts used for restocking.
  • 9Mentor junior assistants as the senior technician on your two-person crew.
  • 10Attend ongoing training in sheet metal, boiler, electrical, and zoning.

Requirements9

  • 12+ years installing residential HVAC systems.
  • 2EPA Certification for refrigerant handling required.
  • 3Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • 4Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, and crawl spaces.
  • 5Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • 6Basic electrical and piping knowledge for HVAC equipment.
