HVAC Installer, Equipment & Duct Systems
Overview
You install residential and commercial HVAC systems, setting furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps while fabricating and sealing ductwork. Your work spans new construction and equipment change-outs, with 90% of your time in the field. You join a tight crew of 10 installers and technicians, reporting to the project manager. This role stands out because you own the installation from start to finish, with paid training for EPA certification if you lack it.
What You'll Do8
- 1Install HVAC equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps on residential and commercial sites.
- 2Fabricate and seal duct systems per job specifications, using sheet metal tools and techniques.
- 3Execute equipment change-outs and new construction installations, reading blueprints and layouts.
- 4Operate hand and power tools, ensuring proper use and safety on every job.
- 5Maintain a clean job site, disposing of debris and organizing materials.
- 6Follow all safety procedures and company standards, including OSHA guidelines.
- 7Collaborate with installers, technicians, and project managers to meet project deadlines.
- 8Deliver quality workmanship on each installation, addressing details like leveling and connections.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of previous HVAC installation experience.
- 2Experience with duct fabrication and installation.
- 3Knowledge of residential or commercial HVAC systems.
- 4Ability to safely operate tools and equipment, including power tools.
- 5Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in varying conditions.
- 6Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- 7EPA certification or HVAC training is a plus, but not required.
