Overview

You will own the HR portfolio at MITRE, planning and tracking projects across Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and HR Operations for a national security R&D nonprofit. You partner with HR leaders and COEs to align initiatives with strategy, build integrated plans, and drive governance. You establish reporting cadence with dashboards and scorecards that give executives visibility into project health. What You'll Do7

  • 1Build integrated project plans and schedules using Microsoft Project and Smartsheet, aligning with HR leaders on scope, timelines, and dependencies.
  • 2Lead project kickoffs and planning sessions to define milestones and resource needs across Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Learning.
  • 3Drive governance by facilitating cross-functional meetings, maintaining decision logs, and resolving risks and issues.
  • 4Design standardized dashboards in Power BI and SharePoint to track Schedule, Scope, Budget, and Risks.
  • 5Prepare executive summaries and presentations that highlight accomplishments, upcoming milestones, and decisions for HR leadership.
  • 6Launch initiatives from concept to implementation, including project charters, business cases, and RFPs.
  • 7Coordinate vendor selection and implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and timelines.

Requirements10

  • 110+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with a Master's, or 5+ years with a PhD.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3PMP certification required.
  • 45+ years managing projects, programs, or portfolios in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • 5Proven experience partnering with business leaders to execute cross-functional initiatives.
  • 6Developed project plans, schedules, and risk logs for multiple concurrent projects.
  • 7Facilitated project governance and executive status reviews.
  • 8Built dashboards and portfolio reports using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
  • 9Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and collaboration tools.
  • 10Ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion with strong organizational and communication skills.
