Project Manager, Remote & Hybrid
Overview
Own end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects at Liberty Mutual, driving timelines, budgets, and stakeholder alignment across a 5+ year book of work. You will coordinate internal teams, vendors, and clients, ensuring every milestone lands on time. This contract role offers hybrid flexibility and a PMP or CAPM certification is a plus. You will be the single point of accountability for project outcomes, from kickoff to close, with direct visibility into leadership.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, using MS Project or Jira to track progress.
- 2Coordinate cross-functional teams, assigning tasks and ensuring deadlines are met with clear ownership.
- 3Drive stakeholder communication by leading status meetings and delivering weekly updates to leadership.
- 4Monitor budgets and resource allocation, flagging variances and adjusting plans to stay within the 10-20% tolerance.
- 5Identify risks and dependencies early, developing mitigation plans to avoid delays.
- 6Maintain project documentation, ensuring version control and audit readiness in SharePoint.
- 7Resolve conflicts and escalate critical issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
- 8Prepare executive summaries and presentations for steering committee reviews.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, IT, or related field preferred.
- 23+ years managing projects end-to-end, with proven delivery of complex initiatives.
- 3PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
- 4Strong proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and Teams.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to executives.
- 6Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.
- 7Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines.
