Housekeeping Staff Weekend Shift - Rogerson Communities
Overview
You will own weekend cleaning and laundry operations for a Boston elder care community, serving residents with dementia. You'll maintain hygiene and safety standards across all building surfaces and fixtures. Working with a small facilities team, you'll execute daily cleaning schedules and unit turnovers. What You'll Do9
- 1Clean all building surfaces, fixtures, and common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, glass cleaning, dusting, and litter removal
- 2Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machines, while avoiding damage to dry clean only items
- 3Run and upkeep cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners, carpet spotters, and sweepers, including replacing filter bags and lint filters
- 4Execute a daily cleaning schedule and support unit turnovers for resident moves and function setups
- 5Report equipment problems to the Maintenance Assistant and coordinate routine maintenance
- 6Monitor supply inventories and report needs to the Maintenance Assistant
- 7Follow CDC cleaning and sanitation guidelines throughout your shift
- 8Communicate with residents and team members to accomplish work orders efficiently
- 9Attend required educational programs and complete assigned work orders promptly
Requirements9
- 11+ year of cleaning and laundry experience
- 2Experience using and maintaining general cleaning equipment
- 3Ability to carry out a daily cleaning schedule without close supervision
- 4Experience with commercial laundry equipment
- 5Sensitivity to aging issues and needs of dementia residents
- 6Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- 7Team player with strong communication skills and flexibility for schedule changes
- 8Awareness of safety and security issues, plus a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- 9Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform repetitive tasks like reaching and folding
