Housekeeping Associate, Facility Cleanliness
Overview
You will own cleanliness across Goodwill's Nashville facilities, from retail floors to warehouse docks, ensuring every space meets OSHA standards. You'll support Goodwill's mission by creating safe, welcoming environments for customers, trainees, and staff in high-traffic settings. This role offers variety across store, campus, and industrial sites, with room to grow. You'll report safety issues and keep operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do9
- 1Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum assigned areas across retail, office, and warehouse spaces.
- 2Disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces using EPA-approved chemicals.
- 3Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and dispose of waste per OSHA guidelines.
- 4Maintain cleaning supply inventory and alert supervisors when stock runs low.
- 5Clean store fixtures, shelves, mirrors, and flooring to keep sales floors shopper-ready.
- 6Set up training rooms with clean tables, chairs, and materials for program delivery.
- 7Scrub warehouse aisles, production areas, and docks to uphold OSHA safety standards.
- 8Report spills, leaks, or broken fixtures immediately to prevent hazards.
- 9Operate powered equipment like buffers and scrubbers once trained and certified.
Requirements8
- 16 months prior housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred).
- 2High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 3Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand or bend for full shifts.
- 4Familiarity with MSDS sheets and safe chemical handling.
- 5Capable of working independently on a set schedule.
- 6Comfortable in environments with dust, noise, and temperature variations.
- 7Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- 8Willingness to wear PPE like gloves and masks as required.
