What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct scheduled and documented firewatch rounds throughout the facility, checking for smoke, fire, burning odors, electrical hazards, and blocked exits.
- 2Keep hallways, corridors, exits, stairways, and emergency access areas clear and safe at all times.
- 3Identify and immediately report fire hazards or unsafe conditions to the appropriate staff.
- 4Maintain accurate firewatch logs documenting rounds, observations, and notifications.
- 5Follow all facility fire-safety and emergency procedures, remaining alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
- 6Perform routine housekeeping duties when not conducting firewatch rounds, keeping common areas, storage areas, and housekeeping areas clean and organized.
- 7Report maintenance issues, leaks, damaged equipment, or other safety concerns to management.
Requirements5
- 1Previous housekeeping, custodial, maintenance, security, or firewatch experience preferred.
- 2Ability to walk throughout the facility and complete repeated rounds.
- 3Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize potential safety hazards.
- 4Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately complete required documentation.
- 5Must complete required fire-safety and emergency-response training.
