Overview
You own the front door at Kusshi Sushi, greeting guests and managing seating for a bustling Washington, DC restaurant. Your energy sets the tone for every dining experience, from the first hello to the final farewell. You coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to keep the flow seamless, using Aloha POS or Micros POS to manage reservations and waitlists. What You'll Do7
- 1Greet guests with a warm, energetic demeanor as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable from the start.
- 2Manage reservations and waitlists using Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate seating and minimal wait times.
- 3Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to seat guests promptly and maintain smooth service flow.
- 4Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, sharing accurate wait times, menu details, and event information.
- 5Keep the host stand clean and organized, stocking menus and materials for each shift.
- 6Resolve guest concerns and special requests courteously, escalating to management when needed.
- 7Support the team by communicating clearly and proactively, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience as a Host or in guest services within food service or hospitality.
- 2Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests.
- 3Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
- 4Experience in restaurant settings, including hotel or food service environments, is highly desirable.
- 5Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally.
- 6Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- 7Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving protocols and guest services best practices.
