Overview

Own the on-site high value property survey process within your local area and deliver precise property data at scale. You’ll operate as an independent contractor, leveraging your network and field expertise to gather measurements, photos, and risk details for underwriters. You’ll work from a home office, schedule flexible surveys, and collaborate with homeowners and agents. This role offers autonomy, mentoring from a dedicated Field Management team, and an opportunity to grow within a national insurance information provider.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and execute on-site surveys for high value homes, collecting measurements, photos, and material characteristics to inform underwriter decisions
  • 2Drive to properties and conduct inspections following customer-specific guidelines and procedures
  • 3Document construction features and potential hazards, and generate estimated replacement values within the Signature system
  • 4Coordinate survey scheduling within your own calendar and deliver timely web-based reports
  • 5Communicate findings clearly via phone, email, and in-person with homeowners and insurance agents
  • 6Review and verify data accuracy and ensure consistency with loss control standards
  • 7Mentor and collaborate with Field Management to enhance learning and performance
  • 8Manage and maintain mobile tools and reporting workflow to ensure data integrity
  • 9Protect client information and maintain professional relationships with client partners
  • 10Support company goals by providing reliable, high-quality information for underwriting decisions

Requirements10

  • 1Prior underwriting experience desirable
  • 2Prior residential inspection experience desirable
  • 3Loss control experience desirable
  • 4Strong oral and written communication skills
  • 5Professionalism is key
  • 6Construction experience desired but not required
  • 7BA or BS degree desired but not required
  • 8Must have smartphone, tablet and personal computer
  • 9Late model reliable vehicle and Auto and General Liability Insurance
  • 10High speed internet and 16MP camera or greater on device plus measuring tools such as laser, soft tape, or measuring wheel
