HEDIS Coordinator, Healthcare Quality & Data
Overview
Own the full lifecycle of HEDIS data collection, validation, and reporting for a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a diverse population. You will coordinate with clinical, population health, and IT teams to ensure NCQA compliance and improve quality measures. This role combines data analysis, provider outreach, and process improvement, driving measurable gains in member care.
What You'll Do9
- 1Coordinate HEDIS activities across the measurement year to ensure accurate and timely data collection, validation, and submission.
- 2Monitor project timelines and provide status updates to leadership, highlighting barriers and outcomes.
- 3Develop action plans to improve HEDIS performance and quality measure outcomes.
- 4Generate and analyze HEDIS reports to identify gaps in care and provider performance.
- 5Validate data and investigate discrepancies with providers, health plans, and vendors.
- 6Coordinate medical record retrieval and chart abstraction to support reporting.
- 7Maintain audit trails and documentation for all HEDIS activities.
- 8Support provider outreach by educating offices on HEDIS measures and documentation best practices.
- 9Ensure compliance with NCQA specs and CMS requirements throughout the reporting process.
Requirements10
- 13+ years in healthcare quality improvement, managed care, or related field.
- 21+ years working with HEDIS or NCQA quality measures.
- 3Experience with medical record review and chart abstraction.
- 4Knowledge of HEDIS technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
- 5Proficiency with EHR systems and healthcare analytics tools.
- 6Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
- 7Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- 8Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- 9Knowledge of HIPAA and data confidentiality standards.
- 10CPHQ certification or similar is preferred.
