What You'll Do10

  • 1Build diagnostics workflows for diesel engines and hydraulic systems to reduce repair time
  • 2Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems on heavy trucks and construction equipment
  • 3Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks and struts, and wheel alignments
  • 4Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret diagrams for precise repairs and troubleshooting
  • 5Fabricate and weld parts or modify equipment as needed
  • 6Operate excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers to access and move machinery for repair
  • 7Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • 8Assist in preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan
  • 9Communicate repair procedures clearly to customers and team members
  • 10Deliver safe, high-quality repairs in a fast-paced environment

Requirements9

  • 1Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and industrial equipment maintenance
  • 2Strong mechanical knowledge with diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems
  • 3Skilled with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and diagnostic software for automotive electrical systems
  • 4Ability to read schematics accurately for complex mechanical systems
  • 5Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus
  • 6Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
  • 7Knowledge of automotive diagnostics techniques for troubleshooting vehicle systems
  • 8Excellent customer service and clear communication about repairs and maintenance procedures
  • 9Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in varied environmental conditions
