Gymnastics Instructor, Kids Physical Development
Overview
You will teach gymnastics-based classes to children ages 4 months through 12 years, using The Little Gym curriculum to build confidence and motor skills. You will also create a warm, fun, and educational environment for every child, treating each class as if it's their first day. You will work with a supportive team across 300+ locations worldwide, all dedicated to child development. This role offers flexible hours and the chance to stay active while making a real impact on kids' lives.
What You'll Do10
- 1Teach gymnastics classes based on The Little Gym proven curriculum and teaching method.
- 2Lead Parent/Child, Pre-K, and Grade School sessions in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.
- 3Create a warm and fun atmosphere that encourages children to develop at their own pace.
- 4Deliver outstanding customer service to members, treating every family like part of the Little Gym family.
- 5Engage children with high energy and enthusiasm, using play and movement to build confidence.
- 6Track each child's progress and adapt activities to meet their individual needs.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized gym space, ensuring all equipment is safe and ready for use.
- 8Participate in team trainings and staff meetings to continuously improve teaching skills.
- 9Support front-of-house operations during check-in and class transitions as needed.
- 10Act as a positive role model, demonstrating sportsmanship and a love for physical activity.
Requirements10
- 11+ years experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- 2Background in child development, physical education, or gymnastics preferred.
- 3Ability to lift and move gymnastics equipment up to 50 pounds.
- 4Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- 5Must pass a background check and complete CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
- 6Physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods during class instruction.
- 7Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with both children and parents.
- 8Enthusiasm for play and creativity, with the ability to 'act like a dinosaur' when needed.
- 9High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or kinesiology is a plus.
