GTM Engineer at Plane - Build Work Infrastructure
Overview
Plane seeks a GTM Engineer to architect and own the outbound engine from scratch. This role defines and executes cold outreach strategies targeting engineering product teams. You will transform ICP definitions into qualified meetings while maintaining rigorous email standards and leveraging modern AI tools.
What You'll Do12
- 1Design and implement multi-channel cold email and LinkedIn sequences using Anthropic and OpenAI platforms
- 2Develop enrichment pipelines in Clay to gather prospecting data across multiple sources
- 3Build automated systems that convert ICP definitions into targeted account lists
- 4Segment prospects by fit signal and deployment preferences including cloud self-hosted air-gapped options
- 5Maintain data quality by detecting and removing bad fits dead emails and duplicates
- 6Create personalized email content at scale using enrichment data and behavioral signals
- 7Establish sender reputation through domain warmup rotation SPF DKIM DMARC configuration
- 8Monitor bounce rates and spam placement to resolve issues before escalation
- 9Integrate data layers with HubSpot CRM via native connectors and APIs
- 10Track campaign performance measuring reply rates meetings booked and pipeline impact
- 11Iterate based on attribution data turning Plane signals into trigger-based sales activities
- 12Own full sequence lifecycle from raw list creation to post-reply CRM synchronization
Requirements11
- 12-5 years experience with cold outbound or GTM engineering in B2B SaaS
- 2Hands-on expertise with Clay or equivalent orchestration platforms
- 3Proficiency in email authority best practices domains warmup rotation SPF DKIM DMARC
- 4Comfortable building with Anthropic OpenAI and other LLM providers
- 5Ability to design and deploy AI agents for complex outreach workflows
- 6Strong SQL and no-code skills for data manipulation and integration
- 7Understanding of signal-based prospecting methodologies
- 8Experience with HubSpot CRM and API integrations
- 9Knowledge of deliverability engineering across multiple domains
- 10Familiarity with intent-based outbound techniques and compliance requirements
- 11Demonstrated ability to maintain high personalization at scale
