Growth Marketing Specialist, Fintech & Payments
Overview
You will own the day-to-day execution of Coinflow's content, community, social, and event programs, turning strategy into shipped work that drives revenue. You report directly to the Head of Marketing and collaborate with a small, fast-moving team that serves both internal and external audiences. You will run a packed events calendar, manage a multi-voice content engine, and keep community initiatives in motion. This role offers direct mentorship from the Head of Marketing and regular exposure to founders and leadership, with a clear path to owning high-visibility functions. You will use Claude and ChatGPT daily to accelerate workflows and execute growth experiments.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the strategic and operational backbone of Coinflow's event program, including strategy, logistics, guest lists, vendor coordination, and on-site execution at Chicago events.
- 2Build and grow communities on LinkedIn and X to generate revenue and partnership opportunities, running campaigns that convert followers into leads.
- 3Publish and distribute blog posts, social content, and newsletters from draft to publishing, using WordPress and Mailchimp to manage the calendar and analytics.
- 4Manage day-to-day activity, engagement, and reporting across Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, keeping brand voice consistent across channels.
- 5Run growth experiments, including social media tests, landing page variants using Unbounce, and community-led growth loops, measuring impact with Google Analytics.
- 6Track payments industry trends and competitor moves using SimilarWeb and SEMrush, feeding findings into content and campaign planning.
- 7Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution, from pre-event promotion to post-event follow-up.
- 8Support the Head of Marketing with ad-hoc tasks, such as drafting press releases, preparing presentations, and managing partner communications.
Requirements11
- 10-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or a related field, with internships counting.
- 2Based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL, working at least 4 days a week at the Coinflow HQ.
- 3Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft social copy, blog posts, or newsletter content in an established brand voice.
- 4Highly organized, able to run multiple content and event workstreams simultaneously without dropping details.
- 5Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, covering a lot of ground with limited hand-holding.
- 6Hands-on comfort and curiosity using Claude and ChatGPT to speed up workflows, research, drafting, and day-to-day execution.
- 7Genuine interest in fintech, payments, or stablecoins.
- 8Preferred: experience with social media scheduling tools like Hootsuite or design tools like Canva or Figma.
- 9Preferred: prior internship or early-career experience at a startup or fast-growth company.
- 10Preferred: experience supporting live events, including logistics, vendor coordination, or on-site execution.
- 11Preferred: familiarity with the stablecoin, crypto, or broader payments space.
