Grocery Manager
Overview
Lead a bustling Center Store at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, running daily operations, inventory, and staff for a high-volume grocery department. Report to the Director of Center Store, coordinating product orders, sales goals, and displays with cross-functional teams. - 1Manage grocery department operations and inventory, coordinating product needs and expiration dates with your team.
- 2Work with the Director of Center Store to set inventory levels, product orders, and weekly sales goals.
- 3Provide outstanding customer service, answering product questions and guiding aisle navigation for shoppers.
- 4Interview, train, and mentor new and existing grocery department employees.
- 5Collaborate with Merchandising staff to build eye-catching, organized displays and proper product placement.
- 6Handle purchasing, staff management, financial reporting, and daily operational oversight.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 22+ years as a Grocery Manager in a large retail environment.
- 3Excellent communication skills: read, write, and speak English fluently.
- 4Strong attention to detail and natural leadership abilities.
- 5Frequent movement on hard surfaces; bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, and stooping may be required.
- 6Lift up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require assistance.
- 7Work indoors with occasional exposure to machinery, loud equipment, temperature extremes (freezers, ovens, coolers), cleaning agents, and industrial tools.
