Global Supply Manager, Aerospace Machining
Overview
You will own sourcing and supplier management for complex machined components on the Terran R rocket program. At Relativity Space, you will shape supply chain strategy for a vehicle designed to meet growing launch demand. Working with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain Planning, you will balance cost, quality, and delivery targets. You will tackle novel supply chain challenges with autonomy and direct impact, influencing both technical and commercial outcomes. This role offers the chance to build scalable processes from the ground up in a fast-moving startup environment.
What You'll Do6
- 1Lead sourcing and supplier selection for custom machined components and major vehicle structures, aligning with program milestones.
- 2Develop supply chain strategies including long-term agreements and capacity planning to support Terran R build schedules.
- 3Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to influence design for manufacturability and integrate procurement early.
- 4Drive supplier performance through rigorous risk management, contract negotiations, and milestone-based tracking.
- 5Mentor team members in precision machining processes and supplier development.
- 6Shape sourcing processes and supplier health for machining commodities, improving program readiness.
Requirements6
- 15+ years in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3Proven experience managing suppliers for complex aerospace or advanced manufacturing commodities.
- 4Track record of negotiating contracts and milestone-based agreements.
- 5Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or LN.
- 6Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes including CNC machining, 5-axis milling, turning, precision grinding, EDM, and tight-tolerance fabrication.
