Global Response & Intelligence Officer, Crisis Monitoring
Overview
You will own threat monitoring and incident escalation for NBCUniversal's global operations, covering executives, staff, and talent across 30+ countries. Working within the GRIC at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, you will join a 24x7 command center team that coordinates crisis response for the entire NBCUniversal portfolio, including NBC, Telemundo, and Peacock. You will provide real-time intelligence updates and support senior crisis managers during high-stakes events. This role demands sharp analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure.
What You'll Do7
- 1Monitor global and local events through all-source collection, including OSINT, social media, and news feeds, to flag threats to NBCUniversal assets.
- 2Escalate incidents to the GRIC Director and stakeholders within minutes of detection, ensuring timely response.
- 3Draft and distribute threat reports, incident alerts, and situational updates to Senior Crisis Management Teams during crisis events.
- 4Collaborate with News, Productions, and Sports units to assess event impact on talent and operations.
- 5Use crisis management tools, including mass notification systems and mapping software, to coordinate response actions.
- 6Track vehicles and personnel via GPS monitoring to ensure safety during high-risk situations.
- 7Conduct social media analysis to identify emerging threats and disinformation during incidents.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of experience, with 1 year in a command center or intelligence fusion environment, such as DHS or emergency management.
- 2Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web applications.
- 4Willingness to work on-site at 30 Rockefeller Plaza with a flexible shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- 5Knowledge of OSINT tools and advanced internet research techniques, including Boolean logic.
- 6Familiarity with social media platforms, including X (Twitter) and Facebook, for monitoring purposes.
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- 8Ability to operate under stress and multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- 9Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- 10Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
