GIS Data Maintenance and Application Support
Overview
You will own GIS data maintenance and application support for a government department's infrastructure. You will work on-site in Washington, DC, supporting the GIS program with routine maintenance and technology initiatives. What You'll Do8
- 1Maintain GIS data layers using ArcGIS and ArcSDE to ensure accuracy and currency.
- 2Support GIS applications built on ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS, troubleshooting issues and coordinating fixes.
- 3Perform routine database maintenance, including versioning, compression, and reconciliation in ArcGIS geodatabases.
- 4Assist with data migration and integration tasks using FME or Python scripts.
- 5Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data quality standards.
- 6Document maintenance procedures and create user guides for GIS workflows.
- 7Test new software releases and patches in a staging environment before deployment.
- 8Provide technical support to end-users for GIS applications and data access.
Requirements7
- 12+ years performing GIS data maintenance and application support.
- 2Proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
- 3Experience with ArcSDE geodatabase administration.
- 4Knowledge of SQL for querying and editing spatial data.
- 5Familiarity with Python scripting for automation.
- 6Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- 7Strong communication skills for documenting and training.
