
GIS Analyst City of Marietta Technical Support
Overview
The City of Marietta seeks a senior GIS Analyst to lead technical support and spatial data initiatives. This role involves independent ownership of complex database management and GIS operations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. What You'll Do11
- 1Design and implement scalable solutions for spatial data integration and management
- 2Lead drone operations as certified pilot for aerial data collection
- 3Develop ArcGIS Enterprise applications for enterprise-wide GIS functionality
- 4Maintain and update comprehensive GIS databases with orthophotography and parcel data
- 5Provide technical support and training to city departments and external partners
- 6Conduct spatial analysis using ESRI tools to support decision-making processes
- 7Oversee GIS hardware maintenance and coordinate software updates
- 8Create presentation-quality maps and coordinate geometry workflows
- 9Supervise junior staff and participate in knowledge sharing initiatives
- 10Ensure compliance with data quality standards and regulatory requirements
- 11Collaborate on community engagement projects and public mapping efforts
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field with 5+ years experience
- 2Expert proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise platforms
- 3Certified drone pilot with Part 107 certification required within six months
- 4Strong SQL Server database management skills
- 5Experience with spatial analysis and coordinate geometry tools
- 6Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record
- 7Demonstrated ability to develop and lead complex technical projects
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
