Overview
We seek a Geospatial Analyst III to lead spatial data analysis and solution development for federal and local clients. The ideal candidate will own complex geospatial projects from conception to delivery while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This role demands independent problem solving and direct client interaction to drive impactful outcomes.
What You'll Do16
- 1Perform spatial analyses using Esri software to support planning emergency management engineering asset management environmental utility and infrastructure projects
- 2Develop maps dashboards and data visualizations communicating analytical findings to diverse stakeholders
- 3Conduct network proximity suitability and spatial statistics analyses to inform decision making
- 4Support GIS-based decisions through data driven insights and recommendations
- 5Work extensively with ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online Experience Builder Dashboards and related Esri applications
- 6Configure maintain and optimize GIS databases feature services web maps applications and data workflows within ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- 7Collaborate with GIS developers system administrators and project teams to design and enhance geospatial solutions
- 8Act as technical lead for assigned tasks interfacing directly with clients providing status updates and reviewing deliverables
- 9Plan and execute geospatial tasks with minimal supervision ensuring quality schedule and budget objectives
- 10Perform QA/QC reviews of GIS datasets analyses maps applications and deliverables prepared by others
- 11Troubleshoot complex GIS data application and workflow issues developing effective solutions
- 12Develop and document repeatable geospatial workflows standards and best practices
- 13Work directly with clients gathering requirements providing updates and supporting decision making
- 14Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior GIS professionals assisting knowledge sharing
- 15Support proposal development technical approaches and project planning activities
- 16Evaluate emerging geospatial technologies recommending improvements for project delivery
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in computer science data science GIS or related field
- 2At least five years experience working with Esri technology particularly AGOL tools like Experience Builder Dashboard and Hub
- 3Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills operating effectively in team settings
- 4Experience with Microsoft Power Platform products is helpful
- 55+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
