General Service Technician, Automotive & Oil Change
Overview
This entry-level role owns vehicle service tasks like oil changes, tire pressure checks, and fluid refills at Team Car Care in Lee's Summit, MO. You'll start with 3+ months of customer-facing experience and gain certifications through our training program. The team includes junior and senior techs, with a focus on guest experience. You'll work part-time and earn bonuses upon certification, with a path to ASE certification and career advancement.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform oil changes, including installing new drain plugs and filters, and disposing of old oil
- 2Check tire pressure and inflate tires to proper levels
- 3Inspect and refill fluid levels including coolant, brake, and windshield washer
- 4Complete vehicle inspections and document findings on repair orders
- 5Communicate service recommendations and feedback to guests clearly
- 6Maintain a clean and organized service center
- 7Mentor junior technicians and promote teamwork during all shifts
- 8Report safety issues immediately to management and follow company policies on vehicle care
- 9Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing manual tasks
Requirements9
- 13+ months of customer-facing experience in retail, food service, or hospitality
- 2At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 3Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- 4Effective communication skills for guest and team interactions
- 5Strong work ethic with a positive attitude, independent motivation, and dependability
- 6Demonstrated responsibility, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- 7Physically able to stand on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending and squatting
- 8Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
- 9Availability for a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays
