General Production Worker, Paint Prep & Deburr
Overview
You will prep metal parts for painting or smooth finished surfaces in a clean shop in San Jose or Fremont. Paint Prep masks areas with tape, plugs, and caps; Deburr files and grinds edges. You work on repeat batches with adjustable workstations and a supportive team. This role suits patient, hands-on people who value precision, and entry-level candidates are welcome.
What You'll Do6
- 1Read blueprints to identify unpainted surfaces and apply masking materials to large batches of metal parts.
- 2Track parts by job number and remove masking after paint to verify protected areas stayed clean.
- 3Move completed batches to paint staging areas using safe lifting and team-lifting techniques.
- 4Deburr metal and plastic parts with files, scrapers, and grinders to remove sharp edges and burrs.
- 5Inspect finished pieces against blueprints and quality standards, and document any defects.
- 6Maintain a tidy workstation and organize tools and parts by job number for efficient workflow.
Requirements6
- 10-5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or hand-tool work (entry-level accepted).
- 2Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for repetitive precision tasks.
- 3Ability to read and follow blueprints and visual work instructions.
- 4Comfort standing or sitting for full shifts and lifting 5-20 lbs safely.
- 5Willingness to wear required PPE (cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses) and follow safety protocols.
- 6High attention to detail and consistency in output quality.
