General Interdisciplinary Engineer Journeyman
Overview
Design and architect systems for the AFLCMC/ES Division at Hanscom AFB, MA. Own and scale solutions while translating DoD requirements into technical specifications. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant systems through rigorous engineering analysis and acquisition processes.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead system design and architecture development using MBSE and digital engineering techniques
- 2Translate DoD user requirements into system specifications following USAF and DoD policies
- 3Conduct technical reviews including CDR MRA TIM and produce detailed artifacts
- 4Analyze system interoperability and operational requirements across lifecycle considerations
- 5Perform cost schedule and technical performance evaluations for acquisition decisions
- 6Facilitate knowledge transfer between customers and contractors regarding best practices
- 7Execute market research and trade studies to assess system capabilities and future needs
- 8Develop test plans and coordinate developmental testing activities
- 9Manage configuration and configuration management throughout system lifecycle
- 10Provide engineering evaluations of equipment simulators and training systems
- 11Support acquisition processes by preparing milestone documentation and certifications
Requirements9
- 1Secret clearance required due to sensitive requirements
- 2Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited university
- 35 years of experience in interdisciplinary engineering roles
- 43 years in DoD environment with direct relevance to defense systems
- 5Proficiency in systems engineering processes and USAF command reporting systems
- 6Experience with network engineering in DoD settings
- 7Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable technical documentation
- 8Strong analytical skills for multi-disciplinary problem solving
- 9Effective communication for collaboration with government and contractor teams
