Overview
This GenAI Lead role owns the technical direction of Generative AI solutions for enterprise clients in New York City. You will design AI/ML architectures, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver scalable production systems. Reporting to the CTO, you'll work with Data Science, MLOps, and Software Engineering teams to drive measurable business impact. This contract position stands out for its hybrid work model and direct client engagement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Define the technical strategy for Generative AI and Machine Learning initiatives, including model selection, architecture, and deployment.
- 2Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI solutions, from data ingestion to inference pipelines.
- 3Guide the development of LLM-based applications, including RAG systems, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
- 4Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and roadmaps.
- 5Mentor AI/ML engineers and data scientists, setting engineering best practices and code review standards.
- 6Own the project lifecycle from proof-of-concept to production, ensuring reliability and performance.
- 7Drive the integration of AI/ML solutions with cloud platforms and existing enterprise systems.
- 8Evaluate and adopt new AI tools and frameworks to keep the solution stack cutting-edge.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with a focus on generative AI and large language models.
- 2Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- 3Proven track record of leading end-to-end deployment of AI solutions in a client-facing consultancy role.
- 4Deep understanding of MLOps practices, including CI/CD for models, monitoring, and scalability.
- 5Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for building and deploying AI services.
- 6Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
