Gastroenterology NP/PA, Senior Care & GI Services
Overview
A Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will own patient care for residents with GI disorders at long-term care facilities in Dallas TX. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, person-centered care to seniors at scale. This role focuses on diagnosing treatment plans, coordinating care, and supporting families in a mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build comprehensive GI care plans and coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team
- 2Assess diagnose and treat residents with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
- 3Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions
- 4Prescribe medications and administer treatments with attention to safety and accuracy
- 5Provide counseling to residents and families and support advanced care planning
- 6Monitor chronic GI conditions and adjust care plans as needed
- 7Create a safe nurturing environment for elderly residents in nursing facilities
- 8Deliver high quality documentation and contribute to EMR processes
- 9Ensure adherence to person-centered care and quality standards
- 10Support continuous improvement and collaboration across sites
Requirements10
- 1Active and unrestricted NP PA or MD license
- 2Gastroenterology experience preferred
- 3DEA license CPR/BLS certified
- 4Master's degree in Nursing or advanced practice
- 5Completed accredited NP program
- 6Minimum 6 months experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility
- 7Proficiency with EMR systems (Sigma Visual PCC) training provided
- 8Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day
- 9Strong organizational and time-management skills
