Gas Operation Technician, Semiconductor Gas Systems
Overview
You will own safe operation and maintenance of chemical and gas distribution systems in Austin, Texas semiconductor facilities, wearing SCBA and chemical-resistant PPE. You will read P&IDs, perform in-depth service on delivery equipment, and document every activity. You will join a global team at WGNSTAR focused on semiconductor infrastructure, with a compressed schedule and full benefits. What You'll Do8
- 1Operate assigned chemical and gas distribution systems safely, including SCBA and chemical PPE use
- 2Perform in-depth maintenance on chemical and gas delivery equipment, identifying and resolving faults
- 3Read and interpret P&IDs to guide system operations and troubleshooting
- 4Document all maintenance and operational activities with accuracy, ensuring compliance
- 5Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices in all tasks
- 6Coordinate with team members to minimize downtime and support production schedules
- 7Inspect equipment and systems, reporting anomalies and implementing corrective actions
- 8Adhere to safety protocols, including fall protection and confined space procedures
Requirements8
- 12+ years in semiconductor, chemical, or manufacturing settings with High School Diploma or GED
- 2Ability to achieve basic knowledge of Quality Management principles
- 3Effective written and verbal communication skills
- 4Experience with lockout/tagout and safety procedures
- 5High attention to detail and strong safety focus
- 6Physical ability to walk 5+ miles per day and stand for 8-10 hours
- 7Capability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, and lift 40 pounds
- 8Willingness to wear SCBA for short periods (10-15 minutes) when handling chemicals
