Front Desk Manager, Hospitality Operations & Guest Services
Overview
Own daily front desk operations at a high-volume hotel property and drive guest satisfaction. Lead bell staff, switchboard, and guest services to meet financial and service goals. Collaborate with front office teams to ensure smooth shift coverage and consistent service delivery. This role builds leadership experience in guest relations, hotel operations, and team development.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead front desk shift operations to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction
- 2Coach and guide front desk teams to meet quality standards and financial objectives
- 3Manage guest interactions, resolve issues, and escalate to leadership as needed to protect guest experience
- 4Support training on credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts
- 5Assist in achieving room revenue and occupancy targets through effective front desk practices
- 6Contribute to guest recognition programs and use guest information tracking to personalize service
- 7Participate in department meetings to align goals and communicate progress
- 8Monitor staffing levels and operational needs to maintain service standards
- 9Handle inquiries and provide information to guests and colleagues to maintain smooth operation
- 10Contribute to loss prevention policies and overall property safety and compliance
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, or related area OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required
- 2Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead and influence others
- 3Ability to understand and perform under front office operations including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services
- 4Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
- 5Commitment to guest satisfaction and teamwork and a strong sense of integrity
