Fraud Analyst, AML & Financial Crime Investigations
Overview
Own investigations into potentially fraudulent activity impacting client accounts and the Firm at scale across multiple hubs. Collaborate with partners, advisors, and external parties to mitigate losses and protect clients and the Firm. The role sits in a hybrid office model with in-person requirements at multiple locations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build investigations into account takeovers, identity theft, check fraud, ACH and wire fraud, and other financial crimes
- 2Analyze evidence from internal and external sources to determine the scope of suspicious activity
- 3Prepare clear case documentation and summaries in line with Firm procedures
- 4Collaborate with Financial Advisors, supervisors, operations, cybersecurity, clearing firms, and clients to resolve investigations
- 5Identify fraud trends and control weaknesses and escalate appropriately
- 6Recommend concrete actions to reduce client impact and Firm risk and support regulatory inquiries
- 7Document and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- 8Ensure investigations meet SLAs and regulatory requirements
- 9Stay current on fraud schemes and industry trends
- 10Participate in fraud prevention initiatives and special projects
Requirements5
- 15+ years of experience in financial services, fraud investigations, risk management, compliance, AML, or a related field
- 2Experience documenting investigations and preparing detailed case summaries
- 3Knowledge of fraud detection tools, case management systems, and monitoring platforms
- 4Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills
