Overview
Macro-Pro seeks a self-motivated IT professional to convert legacy Fox26 DOS systems to VFP9. The developer will own the SDLC maintain legacy systems design new VFP9 applications debug adapt improve performance integrate systems develop algorithms assist testing. This role differs by focusing on direct legacy system migration and hands-on VFP9 development.
What You'll Do6
- 1Maintain current legacy system Fox26 DOS while developing replacement VFP9 applications
- 2Design and develop new software solutions in VFP9 to improve functionality
- 3Debug existing software to correct errors adapt to new hardware or improve performance
- 4Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
- 5Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
- 6Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
Requirements5
- 1Experience with Fox26 DOS programming and conversion to VFP 9
- 25+ years of Application Programming and Development experience with FoxPro
- 3Solid understanding of SQL 2012 and above database programming and performance
- 4Strong English communication skills
- 5Visual Studio 2019 and newer or Python experience are a plus
