Overview

You will lead mission-critical programs enabling secure information sharing across multiple domains for a Maryland customer. You'll develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, from processing-intensive analytics to real-time systems. Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, code, and debug software, ensuring compliance with design requirements. This role demands expertise in NIFI, SALT, and Linux, with a focus on cross domain solutions. You'll directly impact national security by delivering robust, secure software.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features, using C++ and Java.
  • 2Debug existing software and correct defects, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • 3Develop and implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • 4Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments, leveraging ROXY and RHEL 9.
  • 5Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements, then translate them into technical specifications.
  • 6Develop simple data queries and complex database interfaces for existing or proposed databases.
  • 7Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components, documenting results.
  • 8Modify existing software to adapt to new hardware or improve performance, using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
  • 9Serve as team lead at the appropriate level, guiding the software development process.
  • 10Provide input on system design, including hardware/software tradeoffs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.

Requirements8

  • 1US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the position.
  • 2Experience with test and dataflow development is required.
  • 3Must have NIFI, SALT, or Linux operating systems experience.
  • 4Level 2: High School diploma with 18+ years of SWE experience or Bachelor's degree with 14+ years in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5Level 3: High School diploma with 24+ years of SWE experience or Bachelor's degree with 20+ years in Computer Science or related field.
  • 65+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++ and Java.
  • 7Must have ROXY and RHEL 9 experience.
  • 8Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
