Forklift Operator - Stand Up/Reach Truck
Overview
Operate stand-up and reach trucks to move merchandise across a high-volume warehouse floor in Columbus, Ohio. You will manage inventory flow from receiving to shipping, working alongside a team of 20+ operators and supervisors. This role offers 1st and 2nd shifts, with $19.00-$20.50 per hour and immediate starts through Ignite Industrial Professionals.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive stand-up and reach trucks to load, unload, and transport goods across the warehouse floor within your first 90 days
- 2Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections on forklifts to catch maintenance issues before they cause downtime
- 3Stack and organize pallets in racking systems, hitting accuracy targets for inventory placement
- 4Follow lockout/tagout and pedestrian safety rules to keep every shift incident-free
- 5Coordinate with pickers and loaders to sequence shipments and replenish pick slots on time
- 6Log every move in the warehouse management system (WMS), keeping counts precise
- 7Cross-train on packaging and labeling stations to cover peak season surges
Requirements6
- 11+ years operating stand-up and reach trucks in a warehouse environment
- 2Valid forklift certification from an accredited program
- 3Lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for 8-10 hour shifts
- 4Pass a background check and drug screening
- 5Basic math skills for inventory counts
- 6Availability for 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends during peak
