Forklift Operator, Manufacturing & Warehouse
Overview
You will operate a forklift to move inventory across a large manufacturing facility and support battery production lines. You will join a 12-person team on the daylight shift, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm. The role includes packaging, labeling, and machine tending when not on the lift. This contract-to-hire position with a rapidly expanding company offers a path to permanent employment and advancement. What You'll Do8
- 1Operate a forklift to move inventory throughout the facility, ensuring accurate placement and rotation.
- 2Package and label products per work orders, maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
- 3Feed parts into machines used in battery production, monitoring flow and adjusting controls as needed.
- 4Visually inspect parts for defects during machine operation, stopping production to address issues.
- 5Log production data into the computer and on paper sheets, tracking output and inventory counts.
- 6Stand for long periods while performing assembly and material handling tasks.
- 7Collaborate with team members to keep workstations clean and organized, supporting safety protocols.
- 8Rotate between forklift and production duties based on daily operational needs.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- 21+ year of material handling or warehouse experience, including pallet jack use.
- 3Comfort with computer data entry and logging production information.
- 4Ability to stand for 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 5Preferred: manufacturing or production experience, including assembly or machine operation.
- 6Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and power tools is a plus.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
